Three days after we unpacked our bags from the Rudd reunion, we packed our bags again. On Wednesday morning, the kids were off to Grandpa and Grandma's house and Matt and I were flying to Cancun, Mexico. We were so excited for a very, very relaxing vacation. We stayed at an all inclusive resort, Beach Palace Resort, and we did nothing! Ok, not totally nothing....we enjoyed an incredible room with a giant double Jacuzzi, and an ocean front view, we enjoyed the beach, the sun, and more sun. We also tried out the two pools on the roof and and giant one on the beach. We played a giant chess game outside and tried all the restaurants in the resort (when ever we were hungry!), except for the ones we would have to dress up for. They had entertainment every night (our favorite was the fire dancers). We relaxed and relaxed and relaxed! We walked to a few shopping centers and Matt wanted to experience the Flea Market (that is an experience in and of its own, but we did get some good deals on soccer shirts for the boys) On Saturday we ventured over to the Moon Palace Resort. We were able to get free transportation and were able to enjoy this whole resort as well with our all-inclusive wristbands. WOW! This resort was amazing! It was beautiful, had 14 restaurants to choose from, 8 huge pools, miniature golf, water sports, and more and more. We planned to spend the day there so they gave us a locker in the workout room to keep our things. Everything at this resort was included so we played here most of the day. We kayaked in the ocean, played miniature golf, watched a few weddings on the beach, swam, played ping pong, ate and ate, and enjoyed the sun. Before we had dinner, they gave us a free room to use for a half hour to shower and clean up (how cool is that!) Sunday morning we decided not to sleep in so we could watch the sun rise over the ocean. What a peaceful, breathtaking, and beautiful experience. We flew home on Sunday and didn't get in 'till about 10:30 at night. It felt so good to have a real relaxing vacation, that doesn't happen very often. But, we were ready to see our kids! We missed them!

Here are some pictures of our room
This was the view of the pool looking down from our balcony.
This was the view of the beach off our balcony looking to the left and then to the right.
The view of Cancun from the roof was amazing. You can see how skinny the strip of Cancun is with the Lagoon on one side and the Ocean on the other.

The magic of Cancun....
