She is finally here!

She is here and 3 days early even! Aubriella arrived on Thursday, March 26th. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. and was 19.5 inches long.
I was up at 3:30 in the morning with strong contractions. They continued all morning but were only 15-20 minutes apart. I decided to call the doctors office when they opened to see if I could change my 1:50 appointment and come in a little earlier. The nurse told me to come on in as soon as I could and they would squeeze me in. Matt's mom came down to our house to take Austin, Bradin, and Dakota up to her house, and Matt stayed home from work to go with me. I had a feeling I would need him.
Because my contractions pretty much stopped on our way to the appointment, I fully expected my doctor to tell me nothing was happening and that I should go walking or something to get things moving along. To our surprise, he said that he had never seen anyone in his office as comfortable as I was and dialated to an 8!!!!! Yes, that is right, an 8! He insisted that we leave and go directly to the hospital and that he would meet us there.
I still was not having anymore contractions so I was in no pain. We checked into the hospital and I everything was quickly prepared for labor. I recieved me epidural, the doctor broke my water, and I played the waiting game for my contractions to start again. About three hours later, I was ready to deliver. Five pushes and she was here! I almost started to cry when they said it really was a girl. It was such a dreamlike experience.
Passing the Time
I decided I needed a project to work on while waiting for this baby girl to get here. I needed something excited to do to get my mind off the pain of walking or sitting. I have given up hope that she will come early so I needed something else to focus on. My friend Alisha inspired me to do a sewing project. She had made a darling cover for her car seat and I decided I should give it a try. It was so fun and I I thought it turned out great so I just wanted to share. I can't believe I made this and it actually fits! It definitely made the car seat look a lot more girly.

The Big #3 for Austin and Bradin
The twins celebrated their 3rd birthday yesterday! When Dax and Kota left for school in the morning, I took Austin and Bradin to the store to let them pick out some balloons; they were so excited and couldn't stop talking about it. That afternoon we spent a few hours at the park. Grandma Val picked up kids meals from Wendy's for our picnic and Grandma Dollar and Ashley met us there as well. My friend Alisha met us there with here kids and they had a blast playing on the playground and in the sand of the horseshoe pits. It was such a relaxing afternoon for me, but the boys sure wore themselves out.
Later that night we had dinner at Wingers and hurried home for some cake and icecream. Grandma Val had volunteered to make Austin and Bradin some cupcakes and they turned out great. She even put dinosaurs on them. (Okay, now that their birthday is over, I think it is time to have this baby! I need to be able to walk without pain again!)

Pink, Pink, and more Pink!
The nursery is finally done! It has been so fun decorating all this girly stuff and recycling home decor that has been collecting dust in the garage. I had a vision of what I wanted to do to the nursery and I think it turned out better that I had hoped. Matt painted the walls and my my mom and I went to work on the designing and sewing. (Thanks for the help mom!) So many people have wanted to see pictures so I thought I better share some. I know it may be over the top on the girly side but it was so fun to do. I actually really just enjoy sitting in the room and staring at all the pink and bling. I know that sounds wierd but I think I have been deprived of all this girly stuff for so long that it really makes me feel excited! I am now ready for the arrival of our little princess (I hope she comes soon)!
