Rob is Back!

It has been two years, and Rob is now back home.  He has been serving the people of Mexico and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We planned to join the rest of the family and greet him at the airport on Monday, June 7th.  He was scheduled to fly in around 8:00 PM (even thought this would be a late night for our little ones, we wouldn't miss it for anything!)  My kids were sooooo excited to see him.  We met up at mom and dad's to finish the welcome home sign by putting each of our handprints all over it.  After getting it hung, we headed for the airport.

We were just pulling off the airport exit when we got a call from mom letting us know that Rob called and his flight was delayed out of Texas.  He wouldn't be flying in until 10:30 PM!!!  Well, we didn't want to disappoint the boys and take them home to bed; we were to far from home to drive back and wait....so we decided to kill a few hours in Salt Lake.  Mmmm????.....what to do at 8:00 at night with 5 tired little children????....we went bowling at Fat Cats!!!  Why not?  They were in heaven and had so much fun.  I loved watching Aubriella as she danced to the loud music and flashing lights.  When we finished, we decided we needed to do something to keep them awake and happy till' midnight so we pulled over a the nearest 7-Eleven and bought them all slurpies and candy.  I think they thought we were nuts, but they were supper excited.  Dax and Kota kept looking at the time and getting so excited that it was so late and they were still awake.

The boys were troopers, and were so excited to wave those Mexican flags.  Welcome home Robert, we love you!  We arrived home after midnight.....the sugar lasted until about 15 minutes before we got home...then they all crashed...and the van was silent (we had to enjoy the moment, they don't come very often)
