Seven Months of Catching Up (yet again)

January.....

We started off the new year with a very fun mini vacation.  It had been way to long since we had taken our kids down to visit Great Grandpa and Grandma P., so we decided we would join my parents and Barrett and Brooke down there for the weekend.  The boys had so much fun exploring their house and checking out all the toys.

Uncle David was so kind to pull our boys around and around and around and around and around and around behind the four-wheeler.  I think he was surprised that they never complained that they were cold.  The were just having a ball.  (Thanks David!)

I love this picture of my boys in Grandma's tree house.
I remember as a little girl we loved to climb up here to hang out with a big bucket of freshly picked peas from the garden.

During our trip we had the chance to visit Jeff and Mandy's family.  We toured their beautiful new home and they took us up the mountain just out their "back-door" were the kids could do some sleding and some of the guys could shoot a few clay pigeons.  What a beautiful area they live in -
Thanks Jeff and Mandy!

"Daddy's R the Best"
Matt decided to introduce Aubriella to the world of Oreo cookies.  Check out that grin!  I think she loved it!  Her daddy spoils her.

IT's A BirThDaY!!!!
On January 17th Kota turned 6!  He wanted to have a big party with all his friends, so we let him invite about 9.  If you add that to our 4 that makes for a crazy bunch of boys! Dakota wanted to have a movie night with them and watch "Monsters vs. Aliens."  They all wore their Pajamas and we hooked them up with movie treats, water bottles and all the popcorn they could eat.  Instead of a cake, I made him a monster sized cookie and individual ones on a stick for all his friends (in hopes to cut down on the mess) They sure had fun.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY KOTA!  We love you!

and.......
the friends all left, but the party didn't end.....

Kota's friends had all left and Austin was chasing after Bradin trying to get his balloon....
and, yes, again, Bradin was pushed, he fell, and within seconds of hitting his eyebrow on the bottom of the stairs (the wood part) he had a huge swollen eye.  We quickly got some ice on it and the swelling went down quit a bit.  The next day this is what it looked like.........

It didn't slow him down though and he still had his cute little grin.  Every day he raced to the bathroom and laughed a himself.  He was pretty proud.  He was so excited to see it start to change to all sorts of colors.  This is what it looked like on day 4........

Near the end of January, Aubriella started taking a few steps.  She will only walk to Matt and I (the boys are very sad about this).  She is so proud of herself.  She gets so excited when she makes it to us (about 4-5 steps).  She gets the biggest grin on her face, claps, and wants to go again.
