Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day this year!  We celebrated it with Matt's family this year and started a few new traditions.  We spent the morning baking rolls, decorating sugar cookies to look like Indian corn (with Fruit Roll-Ups and Reese's Pieces), and cutting up the yummy fudge we had made the night before. We gathered a few things to take to Grandpa and Grandma's to entertain the kids while we waited to the food to be prepared.

At Grandma's house the kids made water bottle turkeys to put on the tables as centerpieces.  They turned out so cute.

Next, the kids made Indian head bands and we had some fun with the face paints.

Time for TURKEY!!!  Thanks Grandpa, it looks fabulous!!!

That morning Kota had asked if he could have a whole drumstick and I had told him probably not.  Well, I guess he decided to ask Grandpa, cause he and Dax each had a big fat drumstick saved for them. They were in heaven!

Dinner was great as always and it was so fun visiting with family.

Later on we lined up the turkey bottles and had a little "turkey bowl" of our own.  Football and all.

Aren't these little Indians adorable!!!
